The 2020 Youth of the Year Celebration was held and presented by Aulani- A Disney Resort & Spa and Jack in the Box Hawaii on Sunday, March 1st. Nearly 250 guests joined us in celebration of seven outstanding BGCH youth!

About the Youth of the Year Program
Youth of the Year is Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program for Club teens. The National Youth of the Year title is the highest honor a Club member can receive, representing the voice of four million Club youth. The Youth of the Year program has recognized young people for their outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle. Over the decades, these individuals have exemplified the Boys & Girls Club mission and are proof to the impact Clubs make in transforming and saving kids’ lives. National Youth of the Year winners have achieved success in a variety of industries, including entertainment, politics, business and sports.

Three outstanding youth have been named Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii 2020 Youth of the Year Finalists at a competition held on February 8, 2020. Selected from several exemplary Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii youth on Oʻahu and Kauaʻi, these finalists, represented their local Boys & Girls Clubhouse at a special breakfast celebration. Guests attending the special event had the opportunity to hear the finalists’ inspiring stories at Aulani-A Disney Resort & Spa where the winner was announced by Mickey Mouse and Heisman Trophy Winner and NFL Quarterback, Marcus Mariota.
